James and Paula Anthony have been missionaries with Global Outreach International since 1998 and currently are directors of Campo Yazu Ministries, Honduras.
James provides operation of and maintenance to the mission base facilities and is also the mission team coordinator/administrator. James also has begun and facilitates Campo Yazu jail ministry in the village of Puerto Lempira, providing spanish Bibles and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with jail staff and inmates.
Paula operates the mission base clinic, Clinica Yazu and will be the facilitator of medical/dental mission teams from the U.S. Paula also occasionally makes home nursing visits to patients who are unable to get to Clinica Yazu and also works with local physicians and the government hospital in Puerto Lempira when special needs arise in the nearby villages.
James and Paula call Gulfport, MS their home where they resided for 15 years prior to answering God's call to the foreign mission field. Their "home" church is New Hope Baptist Church in Gulfport, and in 1998 were commissioned for full-time missionary service by their pastor, Dr. Durwood Broughton.
James and Paula have two daughters, Heather (Shannon) Wade, children Lauren, Dylan, Samantha, Madalyn, Jessie, and Bobby of Tupelo, MS and Amanda (Robert) Clark and daughters Kaitlynn, Madison, and Karrie of the Ten Mile community, Perkinston, MS.
James is the son of Beth Anthony of the Liberty community, Union Co., MS and the late Harold Anthony, and Paula is the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Shannon of Pontotoc, MS.
